The School has previously used our PE and sports premium to purchase additional Multi sports and Gymnastics equipment for our new Hall, and some Active Play equipment for play and lunch time.
This year, the school will receive £16,000 with an additional £1,170 in order to ‘improve the quality of PE and Sport in Primaries.’
We are using the money to:
- ‘increase the confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport’by running PE ‘team teaching’ lessons led by a local PE expert teacher for the staff. The sessions will be spread across the year and encompass: Gymnastics, Dance, Yoga, Games, Athletics and Multi-Sports.
- Provide funding for staff to attend further CPD opportunities run by Barking and Dagenham School Sport Partnership and support the Eastbury Primary PE Co-ordinator to plan and successfully complete our SDP focus of enhanced pupil wellbeing.
- Further enhance PE Equipment supporting: Dance, Gym and Multi -sports.
- Provide enhanced playtime and lunch time equipment in support of the ’30 Active minutes a Day’ (Childhood Obesity Plan 2016)
