Using the mysterious burial ship at Sutton Hoo as a basis, we will explore where the Anglo-Saxons came from, how they came to settle in Britain, who the Picts and Scots of the north were, how Christianity became the predominant religion.

The Daily Mile – Year 4 will do the daily mile between 08:45 and 09:00 every Friday.

Y4 Curriculum Overview
Levelled Reading Books

The children are regularly assessed to judge their reading level. Once a week, the class will change their levelled PM book. However, as the children are getting older they’re reading more complex texts so we only want them to change their book if they have finished the book they currently have. Please ensure your child has their reading record with them in school every day. The children take responsibility to fill in their own reading record and we ask that you sign it each time you read with your children.
